Cavo Paradiso

Mention Mykonos and clubbing in the same sentence and the first image that probably comes to mind is Cavo Paradiso. As the name suggests, it is an oasis of dance musical taste, just 15 minutes out of town of Mykonos. Built on the edge of a 150m foot cliff, which overlooks the golden sand of Paradise Beach and the clear, blue water of the Aegean, the open-air club is built entirely from naturally sourced materials to mimic the natural beauty of its surroundings. Having attracted everyone from old school heroes like Carl Cox and Sasha, to modern day masters like Sebastian Ingrosso and Loco Dice, it's also the place where David Morales spends his birthday every year.

Being one of the longest running clubs and gaining the reputation of possibly the most diverse and at the same time intense dance events, Cavo has gone a long way regarding its world reputation. Great results came along with its digital advertising campaigns that made Cavo Paradiso brand dominative throughout the whole world. The year 2011 marks the time when the club won its highest position to date by being number 10 Best Club in the world, voted by clubbers from all around the world, on DJ Mag’s competition. Cavo Paradiso justifies its high place by providing an unforgettable experience for the thousands upon thousands of international clubbers who flock the island of Mykonos every year.

The first years, Cavo existed as an afterhours party venue and first line-ups included the DEF MIX crew, Louie Vega and Kenny Dope plus many others from the US house scene. Word was spread over quickly within the dance music industry and Cavo was on its way, on becoming the club it is today. Ever since the dawn of the millennium, Cavo Paradiso is regarded by music industry publications, artists and clubbers, as one of the most impressive venues on the planet. There have been many great memorable moments from Cavo’s rich party history including a show with John Digweed in 2001, where he finished his set after 11 hours at the decks, at 3:30 in the afternoon.

Artists who have appeared over the years are Carl Cox,  Sasha, Deep Dish, David Guetta, Louie Vega, David Morales, Frankie Knuckles, Armin Van Buuren, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin, Joe Vannelli, Satoshi Tommie, John Digweed, Laurent Garnier, Ricardo Villalobos, Tiësto, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Dave Clarke, Juniot Vasquez, Danny Tenaglia, Benny Benassi, Claudio Coccolutto, Dj Ralf, Alex Neri, Francois K, Sandy Rivera, Erick Morillo, Harry Romero, Hector Romero, Kenny Carpender, Timmy Regisford, Dennis Ferrer, Jerome Syndenham, Seb Fontaine, Pete Tong, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell, LTJ Bukem, Danny Rampling, CJ Mackintosh and many many others…
